Foerster Tern feeding babies at the famous Radio Rd pond, San Mateo, CA. This place is also known as "Mr Marcus Armani's Backyard". By the way, Marcus was the first person who found these Terns and very kindly informed me about it. This shot was taken on June 2006. A "bit" of quick mask helps to fix the original angle.
Thank you Todd, I really appreciate your comments. This shot was taken last year during the month of June. I spent almost 2 weeks going to Radio Rd late afternoon to shoot the Terns. Unfortunately this year they did not nest in their usual spot. What ever happen still a mystery? There were hundreds of terns and even some of them started nesting, then all of sudden they were gone. At least I got this great memory of then. Thanks again and take care. Yamil
This is an extrodinary photo! All the technical aspects are to your usual high standards, but the story this picture tells is wonderful. The adult still in mid-air, the babies eagerly awaiting, then scrambling to be the first in line. Excellent, my friend!
