In case you don't want to spend time looking through everything here is the link to the specific collection, it's the photographs that were included in his book titled "By Nature's Design." http://www.williamneill.com/portfolios/ByNaturesDesign/index.html

Thanks for your comment. Nice colors and composition here. Have you ever seen any of William Neill's work? He has an entire collection on patterns in nature. Check out his website http://www.williamneill.com/

Thanks Noemi for your honest opinion - it truly is appreciated. Now that you mentioned it I think I will size it down as you're right, it is overpowering.

Cool image. The framing is nice..the stroke around the leaf a bit too overpowering in personal taste. But that is just me. Cheers!

Initially you will get a high res jpg or RAW image from your digital file. I immediately resize to the largest size I want to save, convert to tiff and save it. From there I do all of my post processing and then if necessary (last thing) sharpen the tiff and save it as a printable file. From here I downsize for the web and save it as a jpg no larger than 700 pixels on the largest side. This is the image I upload to UF or where ever I post.

Hope this helps.

Cheers - Bill

One more thing - if I convert from JPG to TIFF will I still loose some of the sharpness - should I lightly sharpen before I convert?

Thank you so much Bill for the tip - I do downsize and upload from jpg so maybe I'll try saving them a TIFF's in the future and try that.

Guy - Are you down sizing from a tiff or a jpg? If it is a tiff it should remain sharp, a jpg may soften. If you use Photo Shop you may want to maintain a higher quality jpg and sharpen it just a tad before you save to upload. Hopefully this helps or gives you something to consider and play with. I'll look for more of your work.

All the best - Bill

Thank you Vandy for taking the time to view and comment - I'm not sure why some of my shots look soft when I upload them. If you have any idea why I would love to here about it. Thanks,
Guy

Thanks Bill for your comment - as other have mentioned it looks a little soft. I seem to be having that problem lots when I downsize for uploading on the site. Any idea what may be causing this or how I can prevent this from happening? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
