That seamless was bright white, but I had shut off my strobes pointed that way, and was lighting only by softbox camera left and a strobe above her on a boom to light her hair.
As for my Canon 17-85, I LOVE it! Yes, I did have to send it back to Canon after a couple years to repair a problem that was popping up as 'Error99" in my viewfinder. At that time, I certainly did a have couple large pieces of dust on different internal lens elements, and they cleaned it when they repaired the electronics for ~ $120

Great pose and lighting, her expression is nice too. Probably I would have kept her fingers in the frame.
Now I have two questions for you if you don't mind:
1) what is the color of that seamless background?
2) are you happy with that lens? have you had any dust getting inside the lens.
