Hi Yamil, One day, I will get out west to California and British Columbia. It would be nice to fly to Vancouver and drive all the way down the West Coast. One of these days :) Andre

Hi Andre, Thanks for your comment. Darlene's images are the best. Yes I have seen them and I have been admiring her work for about 3 years. You should come to the Baylands in Palo Alto, California. They breed in one of our local parks and you can get very close to them. It's a lot of fun to see them raising their chicks. According to Fred Lord, the red area in front of the eye is not that common and only happens for a week or two each season.
Take care. Yamil

Love the pose and the way the feathers were captured. The white is so clean and sharp. The pose shows off his pretty face.

Hi Yamil, These must be great birds to photograph. We have a couple of Egrets up here at present, in the local marsh. They stay out of my lens distance. In any case, they are only the plain variety, not this kind with all that great plumage. Have you seen Darlene Boucher's images of the nesting Snowy Egrets? Andre
