About This is my personal fave from the day at the Sandwich Fair. Out and about... washing the family cow. The wife taking charge. The kids standing by, looking and learning. The father/husband wringing out the tail of the other cow... what a wonderful pic. There is defiance and eagerness... and submission... all in this pic. I really, really, really like this...

This is like a picture of good old times...a whole family story told in one pic. A good feeling..

No worries...(is that a Douglas Adams response???) But, if ya ever learn... send the voice-mail my way. I will use it in a class on geography... or history... or just plain old bull-s*hit*

Oh, by the way, I got your e-mail, but I don't know about voicemails, so I don't think I can do what you asked. Sorry...

Del! I didn't know ya still hung around my posts. Well said, mate! I am IL and you are KS.... seperated by states yet connected by years. No offense, but you are just a few years my elder. And I will pass ya a lemonade and sit on a swing... and talk of the old times... I have several more from the Sandwich Fair to post. The days gone but not forgotten. I would say welcome back... but I have a feeling ya never left. Thanks for hanging in there and checking in regularly.
(and ya don't have to sign off "Del" any more... I know ya...)

Growing up rural Ks. (around WWII era) 4H, county fair, carnival, food, livestock judging, and machinery exhibits, brings back so many memories. I enjoyed all your postings from the sandwich fair. Those were not antique tractors then, well maybe that one was but the International Farmall was state of the art. Yes, it really was a family affair. Thanks for sharing this series. Del.
