About	And it is those deviations that make the older buildings so interesting but also almost impossible to find the right frame for a rectangle of an image of them! I'd be very glad to read any comments here, especially considering framing.

Yes, on those days they were just building a house without much consideration about keeping always a perfectly straight look. It was enough for the house to withstand pressure, tension, and the like. But much of the "non-linear" look is the result of weather influence.
