Well, I'm glad you did because I would have lost if I had bet on it too! Ok, so I just looked up his bio on several sites and you are correct... born in NY, his mother was born in Australia and he was partially raised in Australia and attended college there. Well... ya learn something new every day! ;-)

The only reason I brought it up is that I got in a big arguement over it about 20 years ago. I thought he was born in Australia too... So, I lost the bet :))
Apparently, his father won some kind of workman's compensation payout and ended up taking a lump sum and moved the family to Australia. The rest is history.

Brigitte,
Most people assume that Mel Gibson is Australian. But that is not true. He was actually born in New York. He moved to Australia when 12 years old. I believe he remains an American Citizen. The accent and all those Australian made movies are to blame for the misconception.

Ok, that is what I thought you meant... thank you for explaining it. :-) There is some music here that I wish wasn't here... like Rap... there are some very lyrics that promote violence and I don't like it! This is a good guy... he is married to Mel Gibson's daughter (Mel Gibson is an Australian born well-known actor working in the US).

i mean we havent any singer like this man here...
the singers cant say any things and use every music... and the women cant be a singer..only men do it
but there isa many iranian singers like this man out of iran in usa and uk...

Hi Sylvia... thank you for looking and for your very generous comment and rating. I was very lucky because I sat in the very front of the stage right in the center... I could reach out and touch him if I wanted too. :) Poor guy, I snapped so many photos, I think he is probably permanently blinded by the flash. A rare thing for any venue to allow but they did. Otherwise my little camera would not have stood a chance at anything worth showing off.

Thank you so kindly for your wonderful comments, John. You are right, it's a challenge trying to get decent shots with this type of camera, but I am trying hard. The only reason this came out so good was because I was seated at the very front of the stage right in the center and there were no restrictions on camera use. Besides, it is the wonderful lighting at these events that helps make the shots a success. Thank you again for your kind comment, much appreciated!! :)

Excellent the placement here, the angle I mean, the way that the singer being in diagonal way into the frame is really PERFECT!!!!! Plus good shot, sharp...something NOT easy with a compact camera, excellent job!
