About HDR. Puesta de Sol en un "típico" día de Sur en Santander. El cielo en esos días es espectacular y las puestas de Sol especialmente rojizas. Se dice que con viento Sur todos los locos de Santander están especialmente alterados...y es verdad.

Many thanks Erland. The problem here is that is a HDR photo. I have to choose between "noise" in the image or a little problem in the water definition. I Choosed the last....

You're right Dave. HDR is better in static scenes. But sometimes (it depends on the program you use) the program choose the photo with better resources when the objects are in different positions. In this case only remains a "trail", and this trail is difficult to see in the sea. (different case are the photos with people).
PD. If you are interested in a HDR program, send me a mail....

Lots of drama on this cityscape/sunset shot, Bernardo. Surprised you got the effects on the water that you did, since objects in motion in HDR are usually not good. I read where HDR is better with still objects. But the water looks rather natural.

Yes, I also go the same way often, Bernardo! I only wish we could have some method for getting both as perfect as possible. Oh well, at the end limitations may be more useful than it seems.

Best wishes,

Nick

Hi Nick; This "haze" is deliberately. My first option was the same image exactly you suggest me, with more contrast and the colors level corrected, and maybe this is the most "natural" option, but finally I prefer to soften the tones and don't to sacrifice the color, anyway is subjective. Very kind of you for posting.

Greetings

Some small problems of contrast at the top of it but the captured coloring, the details at the depth, and the mood are very nicely done.

There is some kind of "haze" that somehow separates the eyes of the spectator from the image. I attach an altered version which looks a bit clearer but unfortunately without your magic coloring.

Best wishes,

Nick

Altered image for more clarity, but unfortunately not as nicely colored
