About te ao marama= the age of light,
which began shortly after the forest seperated the earth mother from the sky father according to local legend (which has paralells aplenty with egyption ideas, even in names (sky god was Rangi as egypt as they had Ra). I love the idea of names travelling island to island across the pacific.

The gods have so many names, and they will be called different things again in 3000 years. Cheers, t

It took a lot of very cool prophets to rally the maori's survival of colonization. One very important idea was that they were the lost tribe of isreal -it really dealt to christian hegemony.
I haven't traced Ra's progress across asia yet. The pacific was established in two waves. 40,000 years ago Ozzie, then a second group left Taiwan 3,000 years ago. What was the state of Egypt then I don't know.
New Zealand probably first humanized around 700 years back.
I'm interested in what the ancients believed, here, as a comparison to what baggage we brought from scotland. :)
