(Heather Martin died last thursday. She founded the artsenta for psychiatric consumers and worked at wakari Hospital spectacularly in a role usually a refuge for the anal retentive. Those who know her are invited to contribute.)
Heather my first expectations of you were dire. Quality Assurance perverts care for others into protection of self. But quality with you was not a checklist of quantities and professional limitations, budget awareness, it was risk taking and expansion, making a dick of yourself sometimes, replacing audits with poetry and giving presents to the patients.
Not the patron saint of psychiatry but a patron, you had many positions in the business but only one role, giver. Thanks for all of the ego and your heart.
Hi Ian, This is a wonderful tribute to a lady, who unfortunately for me I never knew, the photo is beautiful and evocative with it soft snow covered image. A very moving picture which I'm sure Heather would have loved. Thank you for posting this and for telling me about someone who's dedication and love for people I would never have known about. Bright Blessings Sylvia
