Thanks for the lighting tip Paul. I definitely need to start using a backlight more often. This is just one shot that I decided to use for the first ad. I have better head shots that focus on their hair that I will use on another ad.

Just to elaborate, Clay... Some of the best hair photography you can FIND is on the boxes of hair color. Go study 'em.

It's a nice start, but since your product is shampoo and not makeup, I think you need to re-think the lighting for this shot. Their faces are nicely lit, but their hair (ostensibly what you're selling the results of) is not lit well at all. You would want at LEAST one, probably two backlights to make their hair S H I N E. That's just not happening here, Clay. Sorry.

Your effort is very much appreciated Clay. It looks a good commercial shot, one from the magazine. Models look lovely so does their hair after using this shampoo of yours :)! Regards Subhrajit
