About We have a family of Brown Thrashers in our back yard. The BT is a cousin of the N. Mockingbird. They don't sing like their cousins, but they sure share their tenacity.

When our cat, Charlie is out the two BT head out to sound the alarm to the neighborhood birds. They make a call that sounds like "cheek."
