About	As the tourists blundered heedlessly past this little pack of goldfinches feeding on a thistle sock, the birds would flee en masse to a distant tree. Gradually, they would return to a nearby Hackberry bush before attempting to resume their feeding. This little fellow in his breeding finery was trying to decide if I were a real threat as I stood and waited for their return.

Joe: Thank you. Perhaps the 1/2000 second exposure time helped as this tiny bird was extremely agitated. The sun was nearly directly behind me as well.
