Good eye Maja . . . the crop cut the bright sunlight (though it's still visible in the keg bottom and the section you mention. For the most part, I have been avoiding cloning and cropping lately to develop my in camera composition and skill. Cloning it out would have been better! Thanks for the comment!

This represents a real problem when you are getting close to party time. How to retrieve the keg from the tiger? Tricky problem. Better hurry; looks like that tiger may violate the keg.

Dear Robin.
You're n-n-n-not wrong. The color version doesn't carry near the same impact due to the mottled lighting and the variations from it in the orangish colors . . . which is why the orange filter worked so very well for me.
Hot spot on the keg? Really? Eeeeew! HOT beer . . . no wonder he looks so ticked off!! LoL! Turns out nothing could be done about the 'hot' spot . . . and don't think I didn't try . . . but burned out is burned out and the face there seemed worth the price of admission, eh?

Same look on kitty's face as every frat boy in the country..."touch my beer and I will rip off your head."
Nice Doyle...that face, with that expression, popping from the dark background...sweet! Great conversion and a great choice for this shot...I'll bet the color version does not carry as much impact, could be w-w-w-wrong though. Well done for an old guy... ;)
Take care...Robin
ps...in case you hadn't noticed, there is a "teeny, tiny" hot spot on the end of the keg. Just thought I would let you know.

Thanks Michele!
Yep . . . this KITTY was looking at ME! I love the big cats like I love the raptors and, consequently, even though I took these with the old D50, I'll still be posting the shots. I have several I just love and . . . . well . . . . the projects lately haven't been too high on my enthusiasm list. I find if I love what I'm doing I do it better. Not giving up on the projects, mind you . . . but a break here and there. ;)
The kitty was playing with another kitty who is not in the shot (he's circling along a water way to the side (I have a shot of that too) . . . and there are two kegs . . . but anyone with an animal knows . . . it's THAT one . . . . that counts! LoL! They only want what (A) they can't have and (B) what the other one wants!!
Thanks again!

Hallo Riny: Het vaatje was in rechtstreeks zonlicht. Niet beschut. Deze helderheid zou niet kunnen geholpen worden. Ik denk niet dat het de foto beschadigt. De tijger is natuurlijk het belangrijke ding.

*LOL* Not that I like beer, but this kind of protection would have the opposite effect on me- come here kitty kitty:-) I´d probably regret it though. In Thailand I got to pet a tiger, and its coat was rather rough on the back. Wonderful animal. The expression of the tiger is awesome and much nicer than seing them walking back and forwards all day behind bars because they´re frustrated and getting a kind of stereotype tics. The light is also excellent. Good humour - as always;-) Have a nice weekend in sunny California Annemette

Well, except of a great image, also a bit funny, yea, a toy for a tiger must be from iron or anyway something veeeery strong. Surely I don't want to be that barrel...haha! Superb the lighting here, that face of the tigher really pop up into the darkness of the background, stunning that and so the clarity - details of the face, somekind of 3D on it!!! Superb point and surely 7 for that.

~~GRIN~~ Tippler the Tiger looks a little *tight* there Doyle... Then again, never met a tea-totaller tiger...;)))
That face is a scream... Has that sort of * psssstttt... Hey you... Wanna' giv'us a hand puttin' this in the truck?*... BUT, that face also says * Who the heck are you and waddya want? * ...
So hypnotic those eyes Doyle, even as a photograph... The facial markings bring the viewer/victim back into that captive stare... ~~GRIN~~...
Excellent Sir...~~GRIN~~ Nothing like having a Tiger in ya' tank...:)))
