About Hoya R72 filter
I just started infrared photography. This is one of the first shots I thought was good enough to share. But you be the judge.

Very nice view Frank,a place with a relaxing mood.
Very good tones and composition.
One way you can compose is to shoot a shot and check it or if you have two bodies with same focal length lens. Here is a tip,if your sky is blown out use a -ev compensation and to open the
relections in water +ev.
Welcome to the creative and wonderful world of IR.
Take care
Robbie

The colors and tones are exquisite, Frank, especially the shadings of the sky from top of frame down to the horizon. An almost metallic look to it that really goes beyond just "color". The composition is very strong, except for the left most support post for the small tree that interrupts the lines of the large leafed tree behind it. Maybe a little different angle might have lessened that effect. Great image otherwise. Anson

Gustavo,
Thanks for you comments. Regarding my photo: I did not make the composition without the IR filter. It was luck to get the shot without seeing in the viewfinder. Also, it was not a RAW photo, but I did use a custom WB followed by Adobe PS Elements. This is definately a challenging art form, but one which I will continue to work on.

Best regards,
Frank

Very good start, very sharp branches, you did a real good job here, Frank! I like to see colorful photos made with Hoya R72, I loved the brown sky, the white grass and the light red leaves! Have you made your composition without the IR filter? Well, it's not so easy to make a good composition without using the viewfinder. Was it a RAW photo and with the custom WB?

Thanks for telling me about your IR shot.
