Nice one Sue, I like everything about this image, the sand drifting over the groynes, tones, textures and detail! Brave of you to weather this with your camera, sand getting everywhere as it does. Well done.

Thank you Erik... I was concerned about my camera taking these shots... we really were getting pelted by that sand. Luckily my Lumix does not have many places sand can get into & I'm really glad I took the risk... really like these shots :)

The settings for this photo are as follows -
Exposure 1/125 sec
Aperture F 3.7
ISO 50
Think the whiteness of the snow may effect these settings, though I do hope they help :)

Mindblowing capture dear Quix. Yes, the perfect placement of the wooden structure takes you into the picture. The use of available light and toe soothing tone altogether made this composition a stunner. I think I love everything of this composition except the distant gravels, which are a bit too prominant and distracts. I am a beginner and hope you take my comment in right spirit. This is even more important for my learning.

Excellent composition, Sue! I like the almost diagonal path the wood structure takes through the image, and the wispy blowing sand completes the atmosphere.
