Great capture of character Jan ~ also enjoyed the follow up comments ~ lol! As Nessa says smoking rules are getting incredibly strict here in the UK but then I rarely see someone with a cigarette anymore ... I shall refrain from saying they're a dying breed though ~ lol! Best to you! susie

Great shot of this character..we have a complete ban on smoking indoors from april 2nd ..and they are having smoke police to go around monitoring buildings to make sure they comply ..good colour and detail..nessa

I am sure that within a few years smokers have to pay extra taxes, because they (WE!!!) polute the enviroment!!! Gggrrrrr

Michele -- Thanks for your nice comments; I truly appreciate.
He was close to beet red from the windburn and you could smell his cigar from a mile away. It was quite cold and this tough guy was all huddled up with a blanket. He is drinking half hot tea and half Jack Daniels. What a combination!
I don't call this a portrait; I call it a snapshot but I guess it qualifies as a portrait.

WoW Jan ! Very nice portrait here ... Sooooo colorful, clear, and excellent lighting !! I love outside portraits and this one is one of the BEST . The sun-glasses and cigar really add the drama, oh and the blanket too .. poor guy looks both wind + sun burned but his skin also adds to the drama.. An excellent and humorous image-- not really a portrait since yu didn't add that in your catagory.
