Thank you so much for telling me this, Doyle! I´ll write it down on a paper to keep it in mind. That actually means that the usual aperturesettings for landscapes using a "normal" shuttertime in daylight doesn´t apply to long shuttertimeimages? Take care Ze learning Vikingmaid*LOL*

On slow shutter speed aperture is extremely important. Watch the meter inside the viewfinder so you can get as slow as possible without overexposing. I know how much fun you're having since I was there too . . . . I'm glad for you!

I´m just on your tail, MIchele:-) THis is far from the chalky beach, but the shuttereffect makes the water look chalky and dreamy:-) Oh how I would love to make such images around where you live, Michele. Maybe you should go for that! If I ever get to go to Oregon we must go on a photohike together. Take care and have a good flowery day:-)

Another amazing image of the beach !!! I also am having fun reading your camera settings... since I am finally able to make some sence of it too... this is definitely a 'Dreamy Beach' with the sun-setting the pinkish tones... also I notice that maybe this beach is sort of near the chalk cliffs ? I say this because the water appears just a bit chalky ... Regardless I do LOVE this image too 7+++++ Keep on shooting, we love it :) Michele~

Love the composition here Annemette... Something quite dreamy and mystical in the softness of the light, movement and colours, those wonderful rocks like an ancient symbol... :)
Magic feel of last light...:)
