Good to see that Spring has arrived in Spain, it will be a few months jet before we see this flower in bloom here.
I like the shallow DOF on this and the B/G colour sets the flower off beautifully.

Tony, definitely a well composed image, catching just the bulb and it's stem. Isolating it with minimum DOF make it stronger. Classic flower photo.

Thank you for commenting Ola,I'm glad you like the photo.I discovered an area where they were flowering last night,just after sunset so I went back again this morning and spent a couple of hours photographing these especially elegant,beautiful flowers.I used a f2.8 to get the kind of background you see but,for once, I used autocolor in photoshop and this brought out a soft magenta tone which wasn't there before but which really enhances the photo,I think!

beautiful flower - full of simplicity and elegance,
very good background in the same colors as flower makes the picture more delicate and classic,
great DOF and details. I like it (7)
