Good day Bill . This image was shot using the Nikkor 300mm f4 AF-s lens with a TC14EII 1.4x TC attached . The camera was tripod mounted , but the ballhead was left slack and the camera / lens was hand stabilized . Also a SB800 flash was used
in TTL mode and knocked down to -1ev . Thanks for commenting .

Wow, either you have very friendly squirrels or you have a good set of lens, look at the detail, you can counth the hairs on its body!
Great wildlife photo, very good composition, its so detailed,you loose your eyes in the fur, very nice DoF...and last but not leaste, cute and furry model!

Rob -- This cute little guy was definitely worth it for you to freeze your acorns off at -20C. If you were really nice to him he might have allowed you to wear him like a hat. :)
