As you say, these gateways are very much part of the landscape here and this one,for no apparent reason, had just been repainted.I liked the simplicity of this scene,the dovecot,the lone tree and the white gateway;all in the middle of nowhere!

These gateways are so distinctive and so much part of the landscape, aren't they? I love the way there's the (relatively) huge structure around a gate, apparently in the middle of nowhere.
