Hi Ina,
I'm always interested in other people's opinions and how they see things. I thought of removing that dark area when I prepared the image for the site. I was torn as to whether to remove it or not. I left it in to give the image a little depth and to sort of anchor it in space. On the other hand, I do find it somewhat distracting. I will have to think about it for a while to decide which I prefer. Please do not hesitate to provide input and constructive critique at any time. :)
Out my window I see some interesting clouds, I have to pare myself away from this computer and go out and take some shots.

Excellent macro and lovely soft winter lighting, Joe - the pod is almost 3-D, great capture! I did a bit of touch up - I hope you don't mind, I lightened the background spot in the top R/H corner. Tell me what you think :) Ina
