About One of my 1st timed exposure of this tiny springs that flows outside the city of Saratoga off Highway 9. Placed the tripod at water levels and exposed the frame for about 4 - 8 seconds. This was shot during rainy season and i must have used Neutral density (hand made) filters to cut light input by a few stops...

Very well done. Great dof, and the water is outstanding. I especially like how you got the camera down close to the water level.

As requested, I am looking at the picture. It is very colorful. My taste lies in natural
pictures and if you have looked at my portfolio, I have a passion for old
buildings and such. Too bad I do not have a better scanner as my product looks
washed out in the pictures I submit

Subha, nice nature picture indeed. What I see in my monitor is a bit more magenta(!) and light can be reduced more on the stones laying in foreground. Slow shutter can be used in any static subject, no prob. I hope you'll agree that shooting the moving people in a procession, especially in late evening light is very difficult. Thanks for your comments on my pictures.

davvero una buona foto con un classico effetto dell'acqua sempre gradito!

Very nive composition. Personally, I wouldn't process so extremelu the color in the background, but would in the foreground... This way it reminds me of those shots from the Journey to the Center of the World (J.V.). Is that what you intended?

I never comment on technical details assuming visible things are visible anyway and you saw them as well as I did. I also never mastered landscape photography but always enjoyed a good picture. My favorite photographer in this style is Vincent K. Tylor's http://www.usefilm.com/browse.php?mode=port&data=11626 and I think he is the best to comment on this style and learn from but not me.

I can only tell you about the emotional appeal of your work. I think it is well done, interesting and quite original. I think the colors are pushed to extreme a little but it works well. I like it:)

I checked your portfolio and want to notice a few more pictures I like:

Wonderfull use of long exposure. Very nice mood. It reminds me of a hungarian poerty: ...Water is running away but stones are staying...
Sorry for my poor english. :)

What a terrific water shot this is. The long exposure was optimal to lend an ethereal feel to the scene.

Wonderful shot! The long exposure creates a wonderful flow effect in the water. I wish we had nice streams like that here in Louisiana to take some of these photos! All of our water here is just muddy. Great photo!
