The dramatic colours of the sky with the stark silhouette of the bare trees make for a stunning shot. The horizon is placed beautifully and the light shining on the snow add to the scene. I might have cropped a little more to the left and had slightly less trees on the right, but then I don't know what was on the left side, but take that with a grain of salt, its just my personal opinion, all in all very nice Joe.

Striking, I love the sihouttes of the trees preparing for another cold night, the foreground looks freezing contrasted against the soft warm colours in the sky. Great comp and exposure to capture the feel of the scene.

Thanks for all the comments Leonie. My intent was to use the bands of reflection on the ice to lead your eye first to the near silhouette and then to the far one.

The light is definately *cold* tempered by the beautiful sunset shades... Also love the three different silhouette layers, gives an added sense of depth...:)
