Geez Bob you have so many gorgeous photos it was hard to decide which one was my favorite. Since I love the rain so much and I find it hard to capture on film i'll have to say this one is #1.

No - not autumn. It's a red maple, a tree that has reddish leaves during the growing season. In the light of the setting sun, the leaves take on a golden tint. Thanks everyone, for your kind remarks.

about your question : the sky had alteration to be dramatic, converted for B&W and accentuated in the black. Obvious that work is treated in PS... where added rays.

Wonderful backlit Acer Bob . Till I read your comments I thought the streaks were a photo shop job . You have caught the light beautifully through the leaves and I like the slow shutter speed giving long streaks to the water drops .
