About Some spotters and photographers seeking the big thrill !

Flash back .. after the 2 consecutive storms we had in one week (with yesterday the heaviest one in 4 years), i got back into my archive: we had the same series of 2 storms in a week back in december 2003 .. this series was the trigger for a buffer beach before the head of Oostende, which is now protecting the city centre against the frontal impact of storm waves .. this made it rather less interesting for photography as waves don't crash into the seafront walls anymore, but i can understand priorities of course !

You did very well stopping the action and spray of the waves here, Peter! You've conveyed the power of nature very well.
Dave.

Yes quite strong the storm, the coastline was however the least damaged in the country this time .. perhaps due to the southwest winds parallel to the coastline.. a northwest direction can do much more damage, also combined with storm surge..
Note: it was "thanks" to the previous heavy storm on 27th october 2002 that i bought my first digital camera (Fuji S602) and my "photographers carreer" started ..

Regards, Peter
