Thanks for your comment. Today i know the "noise reduction" option in my Canon.

Thanks!

A very strong and powerful portrait, Pat. I like the triangle pattern of his knees and hand, drawing the eyes up to his face. Very well exposed and a perfect background. Cheers, Ann.

Pat,

Amazing sharpness with the ISO 800 and f/4.5 indeed. That's some really sweet glass you have there. The 24-70mm f/2.8L is on my wish list.

What the heck are you doing in Iraq?

Well done indeed my friend,

Martin

Hey Pat, I'm guilty of hardly ever thanking people for comments. I don't do it, and I don't expect it. But I do try to comment constructively, and every so often, this results in a great response. Yours is one of those.

I wish you all the best for the rest of your stay in Iraq, and hope you capture many more inspiring and memorable images.

AJ, I never say thank you enough for commenting on my images, It is my bad.

The story is, I took this photo while attending a lunch at an Iraqi Sheik's guest house near Talill Airbase. The Iraqi people, at least in this area, love to be photographed. I assume that for decades there weren’t too many cameras around and it is something of a new experience for them.

This photo came to be as a group of men kept pointing to their friends and asking me to photograph them, one after the other.

I will be in Middle East for another several months and hope to visit more places in the region and capture a wide variety of images and people.

This is a very strong portrait, portraying peace and friendliness in that smile and through the warm tones. I'm sure there's a story behind this image...
