About
It's that time of the year again, where I roll through my UF catalog and try to pick out what I think is my best shot of the year.
2006 was a bit disappointing, not a lot of travel to natural locations and a lot of time spent apart from my wife. However, it was driving to her that bagged this shot just a week before she moved back home. A good symbol.

This is why you need to carry your camera with you at all times. And leave your lenses in the car.
Shot while driving to see my wife, who is near the end of a year long internship 5 hours away.
Rainfall, sunset, and the rainbow appeared just as the sun was setting. I quickly peeled out of a gas station and headed back to an elk herd that live by a dairy facility.
Took a lot of shots at 12 mm, and toward the end the rainbow was starting to break up with some really interesting clouds. This is a composite stitch of 6 shots, probably resulting in a 120 degree field of view, then cropped down to center the rainbow.
Excellent shot. I was wondering how you got the whole thing in the image. I've seen two end to end rainbows before, one a double like this, but was never able to ge the whole thing in view. Well done, can't even tell it's pieced together.
