This is a really interesting shot. I have seen this memorial, and what you notice at first is the formation of the soldiers. I think it was an original choice to isolate one or two and to give the sculpture a sense of realism from a more individual perspective. Nicely done.

Thank you Vijay. Optimism in our future is what it will take for that to happen. I hope to see this happen in our lifetime.

These men are forever on patrol. It is a lasting reminder of those who have patrolled the front lines of wars over centuries past, and those to come. Their job although ugly and unforgiving at times is one of honor and courage. These men understand what their job is aside from just being on the watch for the enemy. Their job is in simplicity to protect the rights and lives of others. These Ghosts are always on patrol protecting us throughout time. Those of us around the world who understand this need to unite on the principle of peace, no matter what religion or nationality, political views. Peace is difficult, war is easy. My respect to you, and wishes for peace to you and your countrymen.

Tx jeffery you liked it.

Every country men has high repect for there soldiers who make sure he makes countrymens life safe and peaceful.

I remember when pakistan attacked india in 1999 ( pak lost badly in 3rd war with India :))
the ads in paper always showed there respect to defence men.

They showed soldier on border fighting with enemy and caption was

"He dosent even know you personally but he is fighting for your saftey"

Which is so true for any soldier in world.

We have great respect for soldiers, due to whom we live in safe & peaceful world.

Only reason to call my image

Ghosts of War because no human fights other human, its only political will of one country fights with other.

Its always the fight between capitals & dirty politicians.
Its Delhi / Islamabad or WashingtonDC / Baghdad or 1 capital / other capital.

Lets hope world will have long lasting peace & prosperity in 21st century.

I have yet to see this in person, but was told about it, and saw a few images of this and being a veteran I would really like to see it. For those who have served our country, monuments like this have special meaning. You have captured the emotion of those men on patrol in this image. It brings back images of my days in the Marines. I'm only 2 hours from D.C. and intend to visit as soon as I have the opportunity. Thank you for this.
