About Blizzard here today. This little girl is all puffed up against the cold and looking for peanut butter to fortify her. It's very cold, windy, and snowy today. The white streaks are snowflakes.

Nessa: Thank you for your kind remarks. I do appreciate them. Winter is definitely here. It is 6°F (-14°C) outside at the moment and still snowing. Good for our ski areas but too cold for us to ski.

Dave: I am running out of birds. The Pine Siskins and Red Crossbills are conspicuous by their absence. The Goldfinches are truly great and we have never had them before but I miss the other regulars. I have lots of European Starlings and House Sparrows along with Crows and Magpies. The occasional Steller's Jay, Hairy, and Downy Woodpeckers come by but they are infrequent and very difficult to capture. We even had an albino Steller's Jay in the neighborhood a couple of years ago but not this season. Thanks for the comments and get yourself back to "normal." I am looking forward to seeing what else you came back with.

Very nice capture here, Fred! You've got a nice series going, sorry I don't have time to comment on all of them, I'm still getting back to "normal" after my trip overseas. Great detail and colour under difficult conditions!
Dave.

Jason: She is cold and I wonder where she is spending the night. It's -9°C here right now and probably will get worse. Thanks for the comments.

I see you got your snow Fred. You really did capture the wind. I can almost feel it.
As always you have great detail and color but the streaks of snow really add a lot to this image.
Congrats,
Bill

Hey Fred, it looks cold there!! (and I'm complaining of 50 degree weather! Shame on me!)-- Another wonderful capture, with great DOF and nice colors, with that delightful touch of yellow on her head. Absolutely beautiful, a favorite and a 7+.
