How cute! I am going to have to disagree with the previous post. I think the center pose works great here. The composition is very simple: a young child in her red coat standing on Boston sidewalk. Nothing more, nothing less, but a good photo indeed.

Has UF gone nuts? They are posting my comments time and again. Anyways, last try to rate this photo - I give a 5/7.

Good framing. Good moment captured. I do not agree with Devdut on the (over)sharpness issues - I think the sharpness is quite acceptable, even for a portrait. The exposure control is also fantastic.
But composition definitely demands more. Firstly, the crop at the top is too tight...no breathing space there. Also, horizontal portraits normally demand the rule of thirds, and this is no exception. You could have tried a vertical shot too. Most importantly, for shooting babies, you can always try shooting 5-6 shots in motor drive - one of the shots will definitely give you the desired output. Finally, tone down the BG a little bit using PS. Check the posting in KPC - I have given a link there.
