what a cold, dark and a little scary scene. I like the emotion it brings.

Congratulations on your "Best in Project" award!

Certainly well deserved and I believe the first of many accolades you will earn here at UF.

All my best,

Dunc

Very cool. Like something from The Lord of the Rings.

Thanks Duncan. The vertical pillars are the remnants of an old pier (I think). The rocks are filled in between. Here the tide comes in very quick and on this evening the waves were quite large. I had to abandon some shots part way through during this night shoot as I saw large waves approaching and would not risk camera, tripod nor myself for the sake of a picture. As usual for me though - wet feet!!

Thank you Cathy. The busy rocks in the foreground have been dumped over the years (probably to prevent erosion) but form interesting subjects as the tide exposes and then covers them. The posts look like remnants of an old pier long 'gone'.

Helmut

What an incredibly unique coastal view, with the parallel spire rows going out into the mystical sea. Certainly not site easily navigated by local fisherman, but probably containing a bounty of underwater sealife.

Technically your DOF is excellent, and the exposure hilights the foreground rocks while leaving the distant foggy waters soft and almost surrealistic.

Very well done.

Beautiful work. I like the simplicity of colours in this image, it compensates well for the busy interesting subject matter. CC
