On the cafe I think I perfer the color one of the two. The black and white looks a bit washed out so the details donts show as well plus it being alittle more in the forground helps I think but both are nice photos of the cafe. Looks like the type of cafes that I like to visit! The food always seems so much better!
WEll done!

I see what you're saying better by this example Doyle..which I do appreciate. Also I do think this image did get a little flat with the conversion to sepia... Thanks for the tips !

Best Wishes,
Michele~

Great Sepia version. Gives a whole different feel and still very well composed!! When you do a conversion to B&W or to Sepia tones . . . be cautious to adjust light, contrast and midtones last . . . they need adjusting when color is removed or the image becomes a little 'flat'. I think a crop of the left vehicle and right side (something) might have been a good idea too.

That being said . . . you've captured yet another very good image here . . . still well composed . . . of the same subject . . . yet a very different effect. Timeless, as Annemette mentioned. Still impressive work.

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

hey michele! I like the color one better, because it fits better with the (commercial) subject that is captured. The sign is nicer in color i think. But the composition of this b/w is better, so if u combine the two, you have the perfect picture of this store. All the best, Marco.

I prefer this in sepiatones because it makes the café more oldfashioned and something that brings memories to people- a place where they meet their loved one etc. My family had a dog called Otis;-)
Best wishes,
Annemette

Although I liked the color vesion a lot, still I feel the atmosphere here helps this image so much, being in this format, and with this sort of contrast and tone, another beautiful image added to this great series.

Wihing you all of the best my friend
