Hi Michele, I just wanted to say thanks for this re-post.
Since what I see in this photo is the interesting "S" curve of the waterway through the marsh or swamp, I do like the larger view.

I totally agree with You !!! The only reason I had cropped that other version was because I didn't have a level horizon...
I just recently downloaded 'Piccasa' so I could straighten out my un-level images... only a few days ago so I have several images I can post now that I can level them .... etc. !!!
You would NOT believe the camera, and lACK OF PROGRAMS I HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH! lol !!!
One day soon I will have another camera with a decent lens to work with and you may be surpised or at least I do hope so !!!

Michele, this "full" version is more appealing to my eye than the cropped one you posted previously. But that could just be my eye, since I tend to see things more in the 'big picture' sense, and not so much in the little detail or abstract way others see things.
