This 1950's model Cadillac Hearse sits where it has been for almost 30 years: Rusting away, an eye sore to many, but something to create art from for others. Tri X film , processed in Microdol developer, and printed on Ilford DW exhibition paper. ( slight sepia by P/S only: other wise straight custom print)
I have noticed that you like to take photographs of abandoned vehicles. Have you ever been to Providence Canyon? It is located just south of Columbus, GA. Other than the fact that it is a gorgeous canyon (in Georgia!), it also has some interesting abandoned cars from the 1920's or 40's.
I have enjoyed looking at your portfolio and recognizing places and towns in Georgia. (I am about to graduate from UGA by the way.)
Also, thank you for your comment on my photograph "ignoring the sunset". I have to agree with you about peoples viewing choices. The number of views skyrockets when there is a photo of a woman wearing a bikini. I have seen it multiple times: all the surrounding photographs have 2 or 3 views and the bikini photo gets 50 - 75 instantly. Sigh.
Excellent picture. Your composition and point of view are bothe very good. I also like the look of the B+W treatment. There is an old wreck near my house that I have taken a few shots like this of. I will post them here some day.
