Wow...a 7, sweet!
You know, when I first started working with this one, I did crop it tighter, more centered...then changed my mind. I think if the leaf its self and the reflection were more symmetrical, I would have stuck with that crop. Guess in my mind it needed that to pull off a centered composition...*shrug* dunno. In the end, I liked the slightly elongated reflection better, and that (for me) dictated the composition.
Anyway...thanks for the great critique Doyle! As always, a pleasure to read my friend!

Wow Robin . . . this one works for me . . . the composition has great color and I just love the way the image and it's reflection, though different, become one item . . . a circlular image that becomes more than the sum of its parts in an abstract fashion. The red is a very rich color with that dark BG . . . yet the leaf texture still makes itself clear and the trademark shallow DOF is still there. Because of the nature of this image I would be a lot less concerned with any static from centrality and would check into a tighter right-side crop . . . with an eye toward losing some of the negative space on the right side and pulling the whole together a bit tighter . . . but that's just me . . . This is a really good image . . . You get a 7 from me too!

What gorgeous colour tones my sweet Robin to this eyecatching abstract. It looks just like an arched leaf balance in a shallow pool of water. The rippled reflection is awesome and it is such an effective composition. I am so pleased that you continue to keep yourself occupied, thinking of you and shall drop an 'e' a little later on. This is really quite intriguing. The contrasting vivid red and dark black make a marvelous combination. I can almost see the refelections moving with the ripples of the water. Super.
