Thanks Anindya for your kind comment. I think the scan is a bit noisy...I have scanned this image later on using a film scanner and there is lesser noise there.

Hi Bijit. I have been out for a month and now I am glad to be back and to see again your very good photos. This is one of those. Apu is a beautiful boy and so the picture. He is interested, curious. Photographically impressive the "cage". I like the photo very much.

Good 'people' picture ! Nice compo and tricky exposure. The orange 'gamchha' kind of fabric is slightly distracting IMHO. Regardless, it a beautiful picture.

Fantastic comp,the grills of the shabby window and his expression go well together to create a mood of being locked behind a barrier.Exposure is right on.The 'about' is moving but the pic is eloquent enough without it.

Thanks Sandip. Your points on dodging is absolutely bulls eye. However, I know have a scan from a fim scanner, which has better exposure, so lesser noise. Will share it with you later.

Wonderful work. I can't say whether i'm more moved by the photograph or the description, but both together creates a lasting impression. The composition is perfect in my opinion, with the grills depicting the barrier, and the other objects creating a mood of a world where everything may not be fine. The expression in the boy's face is excpetional too. My only concern is that the boy's face looks a bit grainy, may be caused due to dodging (if my gues is right), otherwise it's perfect piece of photography.
