Thanks Roger, I haven't seen Huon Pine that has been salvaged from underwater before. It seems to enhance the wood grain too which is not so obvious in timber that hasn't had that "treatment".

no its studio flash the colors may have intensified under levels adj but the bowl is pretty orange cos it was made from Huon Pine that had been in the water for many many years (according to the blurb from the place we bought it) and so its not your typical Huon Pine tho it all generally goes a deeper orange with age

Better watch out for the rock police. Did you turn this photo over? The stones look like they want to fall right out of the picture. Good effect.
