This is the same lady that modeled for the image "Humility". She is a dancer, and needed promotional pictures taken for use on flyers and/or posters. For the posters, I shot one roll of 220 film with an RB67 Pro S, but for this particular shot, I used 35mm for its easier workability. We played around with different ideas for poses and props, but we decided to keep the cigarette in the picture, and it will be used on flyers that she will post in clubs where she is to perform. I just wanted to post it and see what people think of the overall image...lighting, composition, pose, etc. Any input? :)
Very nice image especially considering the purpose. Only critique is that the face and chest are a bit hotter than everything else. Great promotional image! :)
You might want to try a hairlight or a different color background. Dark greens usually are complimentary to natural hair and skin tones and make a background that easily separates the model from the environment. a colored gel over a background light can accomplish much of the same thing. the lighting is a little hot in a few spots which makes me think this was done with lights near the camera and that accentuates the contrast. Good picture, neat idea, beautiful model, the weakness to my eye is that her hair and dress blend to the background a bit much.
