Scary? Why? They are just alright, the funny budies from the universe. ;-)

In the case of differences that prevent us from recognizing them, they could be already sitting next to us. No need for the whole of the universe then.

Fortunately there are good methods to recognize the presence of conscious intelligence, provided it acts in some similar time scale like ours. But then again, I wouldn't have the patience now to talk to somebody that for example speaks one word in a time of 100 years ;-)

Keep well,

Nick

So true- there“s something both fascinating, scarry and comforting in the thought of other living beings out there in the vast areas of the universe.
But who knows- they might be so different from us that we can“t recognize them as a lifeform...
thanks for your comment, Nick.
Best wishes,
Annemette

Dear Mary
It“s a parabol(don“t know if that is what you call it in English). Thanks for this and all your other comments:-)

Superb shot! Only black a black shape in front of a very nicely colored heaven with clouds, that stands for infinity. Only that small black thing at the bottom left is a bit disturbing, but it's really not much.

It is a parabolic Antenna, isn't it? At least it gives me that impression. And together with it all the accompanying thoughts about our search for those who might be listening out there. A search that is still ongoing though no results are available yet.

Many too many would be afraid of the question: What if we are not alone? But the real frightening question is: What if we are indeed alone? Brrrrrrrr! I don't dare even think about it!

Take care,

Nick

Love the blue- strong and just beautiful. Great title! (It is like a road sign held for people to cross the road?!)
