While being in Margarita and aslo on the mainland of venezuela I got in contact with many wild dogs. These ones I contacted down the beach, and they followed me up to my place on the beach. One of them was very playful wanting to rip off my towel all the time whereas the packleader, a beautiful foxlooking bitch, was very calm and punished him everythime he jumped on to my towel:-) I love all these encounters with dogs all over the world. Animals deserve the best possible treatment.
Thank you very much for this wonderful and explaining comment, Juan. What I meant about wild dogs is that they are dogs without any home or owners. Dogs are indeed wonderful and incredibly intelligent creatures that can help us in the most unusual ways- police, customs, handicapped people, children, for sports, people in distress, senile people well I could go on. Some of them also know when people have skincancer, will have a seisure, heartattack and so forth. An amazing animal! Take care, Annemette
Humans will understand that a living being deserves respect simply because it "knows" that it exists. The possesion of consciousness by any being is enough to consider it as having exactly the same rights that we claim to have. It does have its fun, its pain, its needs, its character, because it has its own consciousness. Even an amoeba turns away from light when it wants to sleep. We only have to forget about our "built-in superiority" that gives us the right to mistreat any other being out there. That's the difficult step. The rest is easy.
The scene itself is not very suggestive to match the lighting and the lazy focus, that are themselves very suggestive. But nonetheless the photo has the quality of those old forgotten times. It creates a certain kind of thoughts about places that we don't remember exactly, though we can exactly remember the atmosphere.
I would only remove the scratches and the dust here. Otherwise a very nice one.
Nice silhoutte and composition ... looks like an interesting conversation gong on here... You are definitely 'alpha' ... I thought they were yours... You've got their comlete attention... They know you love them that's why they follow you ! Nice image Annemette. Michele~
Beautiful taking and in my island, a but it stops my favorite, excellent. Good Annemette, I explain to you, these dogs with those that you share in the taking are not wild but very street he/she is said this way here since they don't attack people, and good it is like you say your they deserve the best possible treatment, here in the island there is an institution for that, but the directress of this institution made something very criminal for that the dogs that they picked up the they took for the cubagua island and there they abandoned them without food and without fresh water, then these dog became very wild and they attacked until the fishermen that there they live and to the visitors also that was very criticized here in the daisy island, in fact the institution today in day this closed one, him but interesting of these dogs it is that they are very good to take care of house and very loyal and playful.
