About I adjusted the levels to improve the contrast between the colours in the sky. The original colours are softer, and quite pretty, just not the look I wanted this time around.

I also brightened the gound a little to show just a little more detail.

I would have to agree with your changes. the color is wonderful. I think it's ok for the foreground to be a little dark... all the focus is on the sky. Great capture. thanks for your kind comment.

Thank you, Marcos, for your thoughtful comment. I'm glad you enjoy this picture.

I took another similar shot that night, with an attempt at a little more emphasis on the vastness of the sky. Here it is with no adjustments.

Jason.

Mary,

Thanks for the compliments. I usually prefer not to make adjustments, and when I do I try not to over-do it. I did it this time to better reflect what I remember seeing (in my eye or my minds-eye).

I have taken a quick look at some of your recent postings, and I can assure you I'll visit your portfolio often - you have some lovely images.

bye 4 now,
Jason.

This is a beautifully peaceful scene. I love the transition of colours in the sky. The adjustments you made do enhance your lovely picture without overdoing it. Pretty.
MAry
