A mother’s tears can never dry pain that gets that deep, finds no relief and sorrow governs the heart the depth of which, evident in her eyes
Mind in turmoil, life shall be Lest to awake from sleep once more only for a spirit to weep eternally in grief at the loss too great to find future joy with the death of a boy
Walking in shadows All held in despair In her arms, long ago he did once dwell there
Near a year, all to soon, cruel fatality tore him away forever to stay So it seems forever and a day
Only in death, can reunite A mother with her lost hopes, her spirit, and her life Only in death, can she cradle her child And in his eyes, her love doth shine once more, so bright
Thank you Shirley.... this churchyard is that old I was finding stones dating right back to the 1700's... shame though to find so many marking graves of children... tough times to live in... inspiration non the less.
