About i was outside in the fog, just looking for SOMETHING to take a picture of!! then this fish floated by.
it was hard to get it clear - the waves had a subtle movement, and something was always not clear somewhere in the photo. ideas?? hints??

Hi there sweet Jessie.....guess who?;) I'm back, but I will limit the time I spend on UF in the future. I kept getting behind with the rest of my life:)
This is a sad sight but it's al a part of nature I guess. You captured great detail in the fish and I think you did well in adverse conditions. See you again soon sweetie. My very best wishes to you as always.....Ray:)

Great idea for the image. Wonderful to see the fish like this. The bubbles and the water. Really like the colours and the little mystery.

On a dull day like that, Jessie, you may just not be able to get a fast enough shutter speed to stop motion as well as a small enough aperture to increase dof, unless you raise the ISO setting. Your D80 should do well at the higher ISO's without getting too much noise.
Dave.

Jessie . . . the Nikon you have can bring it all in - the DOF is established by the aperture setting. To get a moving object frozen and focused you can use a sport setting (which may be a preset on the D80 . . . not sure) but basically a fast shutter speed which would cut down on exposure light so a wider aperture to allow more light into the camera in a shorter time.

This picture: Eeeeeeew! (My reaction to the picture, not the merits).
The Title: Priceless Pun. Well done!

:)

Doyle I <~~~~~

Wow! You're a donor now too so many more images ! cool... It looks clear to me jessie just the dark side of the tail is sort of hard to tell if this fish is in some muddy waters or still floating... i realize it is camoflauged naturallly for this but it's the only part i could see that wasn't as clear..if this helps any?
Nice title !
Good image....poor fish, wonder what happened to it?
