About The dog that ate the love seat (couch). While putting up pictures on UF, I looked over to see Doyle's pup sleeping peacefully on the sofa (not the one she ate, but the replacement)

Zoe is a 14 year old Basset Hound. Have a couple of pix posted of her including http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1154876

Henry would always be welcome here, as all animals, but he might miss his mama so guess you would have to come too. Doyle has a picture of our "big" dog on UF that only tops in at 53 pounds and is the biggest lap dog of the house!

Thank you Jan. And what kind of pooch is Zoe? Kaylee has not eaten the remote but that is put up on the fish tank when we are not home....thought about hanging everything from the ceiling, but did not think it was a good idea.

Hehe I might send Little Henry on a wellness trip to you and Doyle, so he can enjoy lying in the bed and on the couch. Heaven for that gentle giant who wants to be treated like a small dog:-)

I love Kaylee and her sweet "smile". We had an Australian Cattle Dog that kept eating remote controls but he never touched furniture. M\Our current pooch Zoe, like Kaylee, was a furniture hound until she got too old to give a damn.

Annemette, spoiled relaxed and cute pretty much nailed her and in order too. A loveseat is a short couch similar to this that basically lets two people sit side by side and that is about it. When Kaylee and Darby are not sleeping on the couch they are sleeping in our bed---don't tell your dog, he might move here.

Thank you Laura, This is Kaylee (female) and she does make herself at home. She is a Corgi (Pembroke). We have two Corgis, Doyle belongs to Kaylee and I belong to Darby (male). They both love us dearly as do we them. Darby is 364 days older than Kaylee. Darby was my mother's day present from Doyle in 2004.

It really looks like a doggysofa:-) What a spoiled, relaxed, cute dog that takes for granted having a couch to sleep in after having destroyed the love seat(is that also a big round chair made of canes in your country??). My dog would be jealous if knowing that;-))
Be well, Marlyce. I hope there is a place for you to rest also!
Annemette

Thank you Michele, the loveseat is not the only thing Kaylee has eaten. She also ate the molding on the walls and the cabinet under the bathroom sink, occasionally she eats dog food. She is a little older now and does not get into as much trouble (and we don't let her run all over the house when we are not home)

That is pretty funny Marlyce...or not so funny I mean !! Ha !! I remember never knowing what I would come home to with my lab puppy... She just started eating the walls on the house . I am NOT kidding. She ate 3or 4 of the pieces of siding when she was enclosed on the porch deck..... then she actually ate the cable wire to the TV when she got moved into the bedroom.... so lucky she didn't get electrocuted altho at the time. . . it was debateable.
Yes, thank God for the 'cute puppy factor' that lets them live to become good dogs !!!:))

Michele~

Sure Michele, stick up for the dog. She ate the entire love seat. I came home to a wood frame! There was stuffing and fabric everywhere! She just looked at us with eyes that said "well I got bored, you weren't here". She looks peaceful here because we were here to keep an eye on her.

Thank you Cathy. The saving grace of any wrong a dog may do is the totally unconditional love they give.

She looks very comfortable. We all know that it is a dog's job to eat. Why do we forget this when we see a puppy? I think cuteness turns our brains to mush, it does mine, that's why I have dogs ......and no furniture, or garden, or clothes, or shoes, or pool toys, or sunglasses, or brooms, or mats!!
They look at us just like Kaylee and we're mush again. CC
