Many thanks Dear Friend Colin......
You know I'm insane and obsessive... Life is good... REAL photography (oh dear... now I'm in trouble), does indeed require painstaking stuff! Then again, so does digital PP... and I do more of that these days than poisoning myself in a darkroom! LOL!
Hugs and Thanks Friend! Ani :) x

Hello Ani I appreciate the amount of time and effort that actually went into making this image using real chemicals and paper and how painstaking this kind of work is having done much darkroom work in the past. Excellent!!
Hugs Colin :)

I shoot straight, I "tinker", I PS.. I do all manner of stuff... And by the way, I thought you were coming to visit me??? :) :) :)

So I am told. I am a shooter more than a tinkerer. I rarely use PS for anything but what is essential to post an image. That side of things is not where my strengths lie. I do have plenty of negatives in case you bring your chemicals with when you come to visit.

Sounds very interesting. I can see pretty clearly what you are saying. Which method did you employ for this image?

Well James... I'll attempt to explain...
There is more than one way to splatter develop. One can use the developer in a pump sprayer and spray selected areas (have to kinda "guestimate" where on a seemingly blank sheet of exposed photgraphic paper, as one does in all splatter development techniques...) Another way is to load a toothbrush with developer and spatter it through a wire (or plastic) tea strainer or similar. There are other methods, but these are the two I generally use... I also "dab" develop... Cotton wool with developer on it and dab selected areas...Alternatively, a cotton bud loaded with developer, and "paint" with the developer... Is that a fair enough explanation??? Hope so! :) :) :)

Can you explain splatter development for those of us who don't know?

Thank you Daniel. I agree, her expression is amazing! I have worked with this model many times, but this is my favourite image of her and have "played around with it" a lot!
Warm Wishes, Aniko :)

Dear Tom... yes, it's all experimental and quite a lot of fun using this technique. Thank you for your comment. Warm Wishes :)
