I simply added a new adjustment layer>levels, then moved the sliders on the input levels so that the left slider was under where the black starts and the right slider was under where the black stops, then you can adjust all three sliders to fine tune your image. This has the effect of optimizing the brightness and contrast to bring out the full range in the image. You can then add a little saturation with another hue/saturation layer if needed, this one did not.

Beautiful portrait!
It looks as if it could be from a fairy tale.
Wonderful depth of field.
I do like the image correction posted by Philip as it does bring out the colors more and looks warmer overall.

Very pretty girl and nice composition. Did you mean for it to be a little flat? Here is a slight modification using levels in photoshop for comparison.
