Another vision of “Feeding the Ducks”! Somehow perhaps I have to show my affection towards this illustration! Perhaps because the details and the large space provide well feeling the atmosphere! When I compare your framing and the one Hugo has suggested, I have difficulty to pick up one! The black-framing also suits well as the original; however I like the crop you’ve chosen! To me it is more sensible and creatable!

Thanks! I see the reason behind the alternate version, and I appreciate your gesture to create a "dedicated" version. The rule of thirds is well applied in that one. Per attached the version I had in mind when I wrote my initial comment...:)

I think the left side of the picture shows the wideness of the lake, the branches as a natural frame and a piece of the stairs to the lake in the lower left corner. Hi Klaas,
I really like the summer feel in this photo. Well captured, lush feel.
As to the composition, I feel it's a bit too centred, and the left side doesn't really adds much to the feel or the scene. IMO, it creates a minor unbalance.
Very well exposed, and I like the natural framing. Very good shot!
