About "Sudden, the sun shone forth, its beams were lying
Like boiling gold on Ocean, strange to see,
And on the shattered vapours, which defying
The power of light in vain, tossed restlessly
In the red Heaven, like wrecks in a tempestuous sea."

Shelley

A lovely piece of Shelley to accompany this dramatic looking seascape my dear Shirley; have you had a chance to investigate Shelley's friend Keats yet??. The late evening tones look gorgeous and the effects in the waves are stunning sweetie. Well done to you my clever girl, very best wishes....Ray

Warn color, for the cold water... It's really interesting interpretation.

Thank you so very much, dear Sue! Actually, if you peek to the upper left, you'll see the real horizon, which is straight. The angle of the rising waves...just before they crash, is what looks like the horizon, but is not. Also, I would not want to lose the rich red-gold which was caused by the sun being nearly right on the horizon.:)

Love the golden colours here & the sea spray to the back... though afraid your water is at risk of all spilling out to the left (unstraight horizon) A problem that's very easily put right & a fault I must admit I have been guilty of soooo many times in the past too!

Although I truly do love the vibrancy of the colour here, have you tried toning this down using blues? Would give a colder photo but I think it may bring out those gorgeous waves to their fullest & give a more watercolour feel to this photo.

Hope your day is well & bright x
