Jacob, this image was ment to be a low contrast image. It also has a touch of lighting effects. my intent was to have a soft image.
Jacob, hmm, In a nice way.I like your composition though it seems that you have a problem with dof.
Here is the orginal of this shot. out of the camera with a little sharpness for net. Hand held.

Hi Al, I would have expected a little better sharpness with that lens and camera. Maybe its a depth of field or slight moving issue. Colours are nice. A Macro is generally very sharp. See my recent Monarch, I used the 300 F4L.

Beautiful capture of this Monarch. I miss the butterflies in OH very much. There don't seem to be as many pretty ones in my area, here.
Maybe there could be a bit more contrast? Personal opinion perhaps.
